Tractor-Trailer Erupts In Flames On I-84 In Southington, Drawing Tanker Response A tractor-trailer burst into flames on I-84, forcing firefighters to call for more water and foam as crews beat back the intense blaze.  The fire broke out around 12:55 a.m. in the eastbound lanes between Exits 32 and 33 in Southington.  Crews found the detached Amazon trailer fully engulfed in fire. The cab had pulled away, leaving the driver safe.  The fire was so intense that firefighters needed extra water and foam to contain it. South Kensington sent a tanker to help crews at the scene. Officials do not believe any dangerous chemicals were in the truck.
