A former EMT who brutally attacked his partner and threatened to kill her in Westchester County has been sentenced to prison, prosecutors announced.
Mount Vernon resident Eric Graham Parker, 55, was sentenced Thursday, April 16, to two years in prison followed by three years of post-release supervision in Westchester County Court, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced on Friday, April 17.
The conviction stems from a violent domestic assault on July 14, 2024, inside the couple’s shared apartment.

Two Newark residents and a Maryland man were arrested and charged after a man was stabbed and a woman assaulted at a resort in Atlantic City, authorities announced Wednesday, April 15.
At 10:37 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, officers responded to the Showboat Resort and and located a 38-year-old Severn, Maryland woman who had been assaulted, Atlantic City police said. She was transferred to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wilkid Valcinord, 60, of Chicopee, was convicted of murder on April 2, 2026, following a jury trial in Superior Court in Hartford, according to Hartford Judicial District State’s Attorney Sharmese L. Walcott.
