E-Bike Assault, Fentanyl Possession Land Capital Region Man Behind Bars: Authorities
A Capital Region man who beat up a 61-year-old e-bike rider, then tried to smuggle fentanyl into jail has learned his fate.
Keith Hurst, 38, of Albany, got four to six years in prison for a series of crimes, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said Thursday, Aug. 27.
Hurst attacked the electric bike rider on Sept. 27, 2025, around 8 p.m. on Central Avenue, authorities said. He smashed the man in the head with a liquor bottle, then stole the e-bike and fled the area, according to investigators.

A New York native found dead on a work trip to Nashville was located in under five hours by private investigators, according to their organization.
The body of Conor Anderson, 31, was found by Covert Results PI firm, which revealed details of the search on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
Anderson, a native of Huntington, Long Island, who moved to the Denver area, was last seen alive around 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department. He was in town for a work trip surrounding a real estate conference, according to his LinkedIn page.
