Rahway Teen Arrested In Georgia For Deadly Elizabeth Shooting: Prosecutor
A 19-year-old Rahway teen was arrested and charged in the deadly shooting of a 23-year-old Elizabeth resident, authorities announced Thursday, June 4.
Bryan Calderon was arrested Tuesday June 2 in Garden City, Georgia by US Marshals, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel, Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca, and Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves said.
On Saturday, May 30, Elizabeth police responded to Caldwell Place and found Franklin Mendez with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Kelly Lee Curtis, the older sister of Jamie Lee Curtis, died of natural causes after spending the week before her death in hospice care, according to multiple reports citing the Blaine County coroner’s office in Idaho.
Us Weekly reported Monday, June 1, that the coroner’s office said Curtis died at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30. E! News also reported the cause of death and hospice details.
Curtis was 69.

Talker Research released the survey on Tuesday, May 26, after polling 5,000 Americans, 100 in each state, about how they eat, buy, and think about cheese.

Woman Claims She Fell On Mashed Potatoes, Sues Outback For $1.5M
A Virginia woman is suing Outback Steakhouse for $1.5 million after claiming that she slipped and fell on mashed potatoes at a restaurant.
Tracy Renshaw of Loudoun County filed the lawsuit over the incident at an Outback location in Sterling, Virginia, on Sunday, May 14, 2023. The Independent was first to report on the lawsuit on Monday, June 1.
