Aspiring lawyers, entrepreneurs, finance students, and former athletes are among 14 people accused in a cocaine trafficking operation that allegedly moved kilos of drugs from New York to Penn State fraternity houses, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced on Monday, Aug. 17.
Thirteen defendants were Penn State students at or around the time of the alleged conduct in 2023 and 2024, while the 14th is the father of one of the accused students, according to the Attorney General's Office.

Paddleboarder, 24, Found Dead In Tilcon Lake After Overnight Search
The identity of a paddleboarder who drowned on a Morris County lake over the weekend has been released.
Jonathan Gresseau, 23, of Netcong, disappeared beneath the water at Tilcon Lake while paddleboarding with a group of adults around 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, Morris County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson Meghan Knab confirmed. His initial age was reported as 24.
The other adults were unable to rescue him and called for help, Knab said. Gresseau's body was recovered around 11 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 16.

Reckless Driver Drove Drunk: Denville PD
A 56-year-old Rockaway woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Denville, authorities announced Monday, Aug. 17.
At 11:34 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 13, officers observed a moving violation on Route 53 and conducted a motor vehicle stop, Denville police said. The driver, Bianca Kaye, showed signs of impairment and she was suspected of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, police said.
Kaye was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor or drugs, careless driving, reckless driving and other traffic infractions, police said.
DUI Sparta Driver Admitted To 5 Drinks Before Arrest, Police Say
A 24-year-old Sussex County driver admitted to having five alcoholic drinks before getting behind the wheel and speeding through Sparta early Saturday morning, Aug 15, police said.
Maxwell Rivielle, of Sparta, was driving north on Route 181 at 62 mph in a posted 45-mph zone around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, when Officer Paul Wenzel spotted him, according to Sparta Police Capt. Tom Snyder.
