CT City Paid Ex-Mayor More Than $31K For Master's Degree Tuition: Report
Erin Stewart, a former New Britain mayor and former Republican frontrunner in Connecticut's governor's race, received more than $31,000 in taxpayer funds to pay for her graduate school, according to a new report.
Stewart, who served as New Britain's mayor from 2013 to 2025, was previously accused of misusing more than $200,000 in city funds for parties, clothes, cosmetics, social club membership fees, and other personal expenses.
